Riôtel celebrates almost 25 years of existence

After operating hotels for several years in the Gaspe Peninsula under different brands, the Rioux family chooses, in January 1997, to establish the Riôtel Hospitality Group. The creation of Riôtel along with the establishment of three hotels in strategic locations, specifically Matane, Percé, and Bonaventure, allows the Rioux family to showcase the Gaspe Peninsula to the world.

For the past 25 years, Riôtel has constantly increased its capacity and the quality of its product. In 2003, the group purchases the Bonaventure Hotel in Percé, and renames it Riôtel Percé. In 2014, the group invests $8M in the renovation and extension of its Matane location. The project is completed at the end of 2015. The addition of new high- end rooms, Oblivio Spa, an indoor pool, a trendy restaurant along with new modern conference rooms propel the Riôtel Matane to new heights.
In 2016-2017, the Riôtel Percé benefits from renovations totaling approximately $2M. The renovations bring many changes, including a new restaurant, Paqbo, a new exterior image, the addition of balconies in superior rooms, Oblivio Spa, and considerable improvements in many of our rooms. Our team is constantly searching for new ways to improve your comfort and overall experience. We were amongst the first hoteliers in Quebec to install charging stations for electric cars and fiber optic internet! Let us know your needs, and we will do everything we can to meet your expectations and bring you satisfaction.
